Nothing here was particularly offensive, although it is Anderson at his most twee and precocious. I liked parts of each story, but told as a whole, this did absolutely nothing for me.
A couple notes:
- no more Futura? (Good, I think)
- the third story moves at one tempo and the music never wavers from it. My calculations might be wrong, but if I’m right, and I think I am, the editing is genius.
- of course Frances McDormand would be the woman who gets to sleep with Timothée Chalamet
