My brother-in-law and his wife hadn’t seen this and wanted to watch it. They were both on the edge of their seats. Neither of them minded the slow pacing, and didn’t even mention it in their post-film consideration. They don’t traditionally like horror films, but this just worked for them — and still scared the crap out of them.
Alien has lost none of its power or potency.
