Torn between a 2 and a 3. The stuff that works is awesome. The stuff that doesn’t is terrible. The proper score is probably 2.5. The freeway scene is great, Hugo Weaving steals every scene he’s in (and I even like the Neo vs 200 scene), and the scenes with the architect and the oracle remain favourites in the whole franchise for me. But Zion is lame, the rave sucks, I still don’t buy the romance between Neo and Trinity (which makes most of the plot fall apart), and the Merovingian is unbearable.
