I didn’t like 8 1⁄2 much when I saw it (not for me, sorry), but this fared better with me. Like 8 1⁄2, I felt it was a couple measures too long, and I still don’t understand Fellini’s fascination with the circus. But there’s enough beauty here to outweigh the bad.
Glad I saw this, and over the past couple days I have found myself admiring it as a great picture, but I never intend to see it again.
