I think there’s a lot to be said about the way this film humanizes the “other” — which many people smarter than me have already written about. I just want to add that there’s a beauty to these characters that only exists because of how broken all of them are. I suspect that will help propel Carol to “classic” status in a few more years from now.
Also, every performance in this movie is exquisite.
