I thought this was magnificent, even if it stretched its own limits in the second half. The first half was transcendent, at least for me. Visually resplendent.
It felt a little like some of the metaphors were screaming at me towards the end (that scene in particular), but this was such a fascinating, multilayered take on Jewish diaspora.
