Mostly just a reminder of how far ahead of everybody else Rian Johnson is. 

I was thinking the other night about how Roger Deakins composes his shots. I have this memory of him talking about how his success comes from understanding lighting — how most DPs don’t get it and aren’t actually good at it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it with this one. Uneven lighting with distractingly inconsistent colour temperature throughout. Utterly thoughtless. Which is, on some level, how the whole film feels.
