I suspected I would like this much more in my own home theatre, considering how terrible our theatrical experience was. I was not wrong. This is an incredible experience. Visually arresting and sonically demanding, there’s almost nothing else of this scope and spectacle in cinema today.
Whether or not this is as good as we think it is hinges on the sequel now, but I’ve got a good feeling Denis knows what he’s doing. This film is on another level.
In my wife’s words, “why don’t we just keep watching this?”
Oh, and there is absolutely no better to film to test your TV or sound system with. Wowza.
