I loved this and can’t wait for a third. I wish more action films had this feeling of grounded realism. It’s not that the film is realistic, because it’s not — it’s just that everything feels physically weighty. Punches hit hard. You feel the explosions here in your gut. It’s painstakingly well done, and I’d be fine with more movies like this and less like John Wick from the industry.
The action here reminds me of M:I Fallout and The Dark Knight in its realistic oomph, and also insomuch as it’s obviously impossible, yet it feels so real when you watch. Really great.
