Every frame of this is perfect. If it launched during a subsequent presidency, it would have been rightly viewed as critique. Instead, it is metaphorical. A triumph of perfect casting, framing, and score. For my money, it’s Wes Anderson’s best work; it’s a tapestry that reveals more of itself with each viewing.
