Delightful. Not the best Tramp film (probably City Lights, but we’re fond of Gold Rush in this household too), but this sums up the themes of Chaplin’s ingenious character so well. A fitting capper to the stories Chaplin was telling with the role. Paulette Godard is wonderful and steals every scene she’s in.
