It does the whole thing where voices are barely audible and everybody spends the whole running time mumbling, but it’s so meticulously good. 

I can see all the criticism surround the film too — that it is both heavy-handed and unclear at the same time. That being said, I don’t really get the Taxi Driver comparisons. This reminded me much more of Man on Fire. 

I may have also liked this so much because I have the flu, the room is spinning a little bit, and this is definitely a great movie to watch when you’re tripping out.

Edit: after sleeping on it, downgrading the rating to 3. There’s just not much here.
