Millie is sensational, but we already knew that. Otherwise, this started as low-brow charming and disintegrated into the same drivel Netflix keeps distributing. It feels tailor made for their ​“independent women coming of age” film category. It’s too bad it’s such a rote, by-the-numbers movie.
