Absolutely hysterically funny, with a perfect performance from Simon Pegg. It felt like a less fantastical rom-com counterpart to the Shaun of the Dead trilogy, and that’s a compliment.

The ending is trite, and perfectly predictable, but to their credit, everybody involved knows exactly what kind of film they’re making here. And it’s purposefully hammed up. Absolutely lovely British comedy.
