My favourite Cap movie (maybe favourite MCU movie) is still The Winter Soldier, which had the benefit in hindsight about being right about Nazis in Washington. It was nice to get a pseudo sequel to it all these years later, and while I was very skeptical, I thought the show handled a lot of its societal issues fairly well, albeit heavy handedly.
The parts that don’t work were merely as bland as potatoes, which is better than being actively bad. I think I’ll remember most of this show for the bland potatoes rather than the meritorious aspects, which is probably a bad sign.
Overall, this was ok, and a decent way to kill a few late night baby shift hours.
