Remains an all-timer. I’m certain of three things:

  1. This is a generation-defining film. It literally defines and illustrates a generation of people. I’m not saying that generation (which I am a part of) is filled with good people. I don’t think that’s the point.

  2. The soundtrack is incredible. Fincher’s direction is top tier. The entire cast is gold. Basically, everybody involved in this was on their A game.

  3. Turns out this is a demo disc for a good sound system. I had no idea It would rattle my house like that, but this is almost as much of a showcase for sound as Dune. Really incredible.

Okay, 4 things. 4: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: everybody said this movie was harsh when it came out. Turns out, it’s pretty kind. Who would have guessed!
