Every time we watch this, I think to myself, “I’m going to really pay attention this time to how Scorsese uses cuts and camerawork to keep me engaged and on my toes.”
Then, three minutes in, I am engaged and on my toes. Totally engrossed. And every time, I forget to pay attention.
This movie is a three hour magic trick. I love it.
