Showed my parents this. Hard to get them to watch a foreign film, but I knew this was up their alley and they loved it. Hope it will be a gateway film to other foreign cinema for them.
As for me, this is my third time watching the movie. I knew all its beats well this time, but yet, I was also emotionally overwhelmed by it this go around. I don’t know why. I’m probably exhausted.
Still a masterpiece though. The best Hitchcockian film since Gone Girl by a significant measure. Has a lot in common with Vertigo for me.
