On their third attempt, they finally made a good sequel to a great movie. A lot doesn’t work here, and it never does have the tension or heart of the first. Unlike the original, it’s more fantasy than science fiction (a point against it).
But it is one thing the other films are not: fun. In a movie about dinosaurs chasing people, that counts for a lot.
