Somewhere in here is a great movie. Unfortunately, the pacing here is terrible: the first act introduces whiplash as it zings throughs decades of personal history, and the second act stutters and whines as it struggles to find its footing. I’d love to see a version of this inspired by Aaron Sorkin’s fast-moving banter.

Also, Felicity Jones kept changing her accent, and I found it very distracting.

Also also, and I’m not kidding, I know a lawyer who looks just like Stephen Root. For a moment, I thought he was cast as a Harvard prof to lend the movie some authenticity.
