Well directed (not impeccable like the first, but we all know that). Stallone and Jordan give this everything they’ve got, which is good because the script goes pretty off the rails. Jordan, in particular, is so good that you almost don’t notice. 

Stallone is usually good at adeptly re-mixing his ideas and movies, but this is so obviously a straight remake of Rocky IV that it’s hard not to notice. I see a lot of people saying Coogler’s deft touch could have elevated this, but it really just needed some more original ideas.
