It is amazing to me that we are celebrating Furiosa, Rey, and Wonder Woman in the cinemas these days. What a privilege.
It’s also amazing how well this movie turned out. It’s amazing how much Gal Gadot owns the role, even when her lines are corny trash. It’s amazing that Zack Snyder inspired the film’s style, but the film still has a style all its own.
But most amazing is this: Wonder Woman is a rare treat. A chance to celebrate what it means to be a hero. To sacrifice for those we love. A reminder that there’s a hero in all of us. That’s too rare in super hero movies today.
