I’d never seen this before but remember he hype quite well, and it’s one of my wife’s favourites. To be honest, I’m not sure why. I felt Streep’s character was poorly motivated and Hathaway’s was inconsistent, yet the characters are somehow loveable enough that you care. And maybe that’s enough for a movie like this.
