I do not know how long it will be sustainable to stay on macOS Sequoia. I skipped Tahoe because of the design. I have yet to upgrade to Golden Gate; while it’s an improvement, there are still fundamental problems with Liquid Glass on the Mac.

But yesterday, I tried to download a new beta app for work, and it doesn’t run because I don’t have at least macOS 26. Today, I tried to download Raycast so I could control my Toggl time tracking from my keyboard, and it also doesn’t run because I don’t have at least macOS 26.

Is it time to upgrade? Is Golden Gate actually any improvement?
